• The Biplane Forum is a large global active community of biplane builders, owners and pilots. From Pitts to Skybolts, to older barnstormers, all types are welcome. In addition to our active community, our content boasts exhaustive technical information which is often sought after for projects and maintenance. This information has accumulated over the 12+ years the forum has been in existence.

The Biplane Forum is a private community. Subscriptions are only $49.99/year or $6.99/month to gain access to this great community and unmatched source of information not found anywhere else on the web. We are also a great resource for non biplane users, since many GA aircraft are built the same way (fabric and tube construction). Annual membership also comes with two BiplaneForum.com decals.

Nice little video on Sebring, but sadly short on biplane action. Soapbox alert - I must once again express my distaste and distrust of monoplane snap rolls (the way most pilots do them at least), and for my liking of the beauty and honesty of a nice clean biplane snap.

Watch carefully the 1-1/2 snap at 3:56 in the Edge 540 performed by an Unlimited Team Member. Snap happens, but is then driven around most of the last 180 deg. of rotation with aileron, and then stopped purely with an aileron flick back to neutral. Watch how slow the rudder returns to neutral, as if it's trying to slip out undetected from the maneuver, and hand the show over to the ailerons...which it does of course! :) Judges would probably have awarded a high score. Part of the game. End soapbox. :)

Try getting away with that in a Pitts. Biplanes rule. But I still enjoyed the video.
