• The Biplane Forum is a large global active community of biplane builders, owners and pilots. From Pitts to Skybolts, to older barnstormers, all types are welcome. In addition to our active community, our content boasts exhaustive technical information which is often sought after for projects and maintenance. This information has accumulated over the 12+ years the forum has been in existence.

The Biplane Forum is a private community. Subscriptions are only $49.99/year or $6.99/month to gain access to this great community and unmatched source of information not found anywhere else on the web. We are also a great resource for non biplane users, since many GA aircraft are built the same way (fabric and tube construction). Annual membership also comes with two BiplaneForum.com decals.

While I hate to see it go, I just don't have time for it and it needs a good home. This airplane just came out of a wing recover which included some beautiful repair work and improvements (to trailing edges, fittings, etc). It is a well built, modified Smith. Slightly wider than normal cockpit, high turtledeck, spring steel gear, O-290G, no electrical.

The motor is kind of a question mark, to be honest, but starts easily and runs strong, good compression. I don't think it has much time on it since its conversion which was a long time ago. The airplane really is pretty, even up close. I have a full-time job, side business (which is expanding),etc....just no time to get to the airport and fly right now.

Asking $13k. Definitely priced to move. Email [email protected] for details. Airplane located at KEKY (near Birmingham, Al)
