Gray with white tips, flown ~20 hours Sportsman/Intermediate on Pitts S-1S 195hp, spring gear.
High cruise speed and avoided popping 3,000 rpm while allowing throttle to stay high on downlines and across box.
Climbed 2425 at 100mph indicated out of 1,200 MSL field, so while this is a big gear to push, it was not too big in my opinion.
169 mph 2600 cruise, which was nice.
Selling due to ground adjust prop going on the plane, and I am switching back to wanting to fly slower with more thrust. This prop favored flying fast and burning gas without over-revving eng$ne.
Great prop for relatively clean and higher powered Pitts or better yet something around 200 hp with a bit less drag if you are tired of cruising slow at high rpm and don't need hole-shot acceleration. My understanding is this prop would be in the same ballpark as the bigger pitch Sammy Mason was running with his 10:1 S1-S, where he favored not surpassing 3,000 rpm.
Great condition. Paint nicked by spinner being just a tad close cut as indicated in the photos. No rock chips or anything. Clean leading edges protected by urethane.
25 ft-lbs torque recommended by Sensenich.
