Hi all,
I recently bought a shrinker/stretcher which I confess I haven't tried yet. I see some builders have first created an L-shaped piece of aluminum or stainless, shrunk it to shape and then riveted it to the stainless firewall. Has anyone tried creating the firewall with an added flange, starting the bend over a form and then shrinking it to get the necessary right angle? Seems like it would eliminate a whole bunch of rivets if it can be done with accuracy.
