• The Biplane Forum is a large global active community of biplane builders, owners and pilots. From Pitts to Skybolts, to older barnstormers, all types are welcome. In addition to our active community, our content boasts exhaustive technical information which is often sought after for projects and maintenance. This information has accumulated over the 12+ years the forum has been in existence.

The Biplane Forum is a private community. Subscriptions are only $29.95/year to gain access to this great community and unmatched source of information not found anywhere else on the web. We are also a great resource for non biplane users, since many GA aircraft are built the same way (fabric and tube construction).

Hangared at Paine Field (KPAE) in Everett, WA.

I bought this Skybolt from the original builder. I have photo documentation of the build and all records/logs back to the maiden flight. I also have the Skybolt plans and the Firebolt supplements this airplane was built from with the builder's notes.

Please be local and either be insurable in an aerobatic biplane or willing to get the training.

Send me a PM if you are interested.

A Pitts S1S would fit really nicely in the hangar with the Skybolt and I'd be interested if someone wants to make a deal to split fixed costs and partner to have access to both a 1 & 2 seat biplane.

Thanks,
Matt Orr

Nice looking Bolt, Looks like you are set up with or with out a canopy? Mine is Open right now, but I have the original Sliding Canopy (looks just like yours). Is yours a quick change? I am wondering if I could set mine up to quick change? Any detailed picks would be much appreciated.

The airplane was built as open cockpit and could be converted back fairly easily but it isn't a quick change at the moment.

Thanks, with Winter on it's way, I was considering putting on my Firebolt style canopy, probably too much trouble. I'll plan on just being cold... Thanks..

Did you ever find a partner for this? Or did you give up on the idea?

Hi Ian,

I'm open to having a partner. Let's chat. Send me a PM if you need my contact info.

I am in the middle of getting an external antenna setup for the Stratux ADSB-IN I built a few months ago.

Matt
