• The Biplane Forum is a large global active community of biplane builders, owners and pilots. From Pitts to Skybolts, to older barnstormers, all types are welcome. In addition to our active community, our content boasts exhaustive technical information which is often sought after for projects and maintenance. This information has accumulated over the 12+ years the forum has been in existence.

The Biplane Forum is a private community. Subscriptions are only $49.99/year or $6.99/month to gain access to this great community and unmatched source of information not found anywhere else on the web. We are also a great resource for non biplane users, since many GA aircraft are built the same way (fabric and tube construction). Annual membership also comes with two BiplaneForum.com decals.

Well, there comes a time when you realize you have more projects than you have time to finish them. With a nearly finished S1-11X fighting for hangar space, this really nice Skybolt needs to find a home where she can be finished and flown.

Here's a pretty exhaustive list of what's there:

1) Complete, powder-coated fuselage to latest rev of drawings
2) Gear complete (tall), new wheels and brakes
3) Locking tailwheel
4) Tailfeathers, powder-coated, complete, including trim tabs and trim actuators
5) Wings & ailerons complete, require only leading edge application
6) Leading edges. Have birch ply LE for lower wings
7) All control rods, bellcranks, pushrods
8) Torque tube complete mechanism
9) All pedals
10) Brake master cylinders
11) All flying wires, including tail group wires
12) Wheel pants + wheel pant mounts
13) I-struts complete
14) Main fuel tank + flops
15) Auxiliary tank + flops
16) Cabane & other fairings
17) Sliding canopy complete
18) All sheet metal complete
19) SS firewall
20) Your choice, 4 or 6 cylinder Lyc engine mount
21) Airfoil slave rods

It's at what I call the 99/99 stage. It's 99% done, and only 99% to go.

$11,000. You do the math. :D
