• The Biplane Forum is a large global active community of biplane builders, owners and pilots. From Pitts to Skybolts, to older barnstormers, all types are welcome. In addition to our active community, our content boasts exhaustive technical information which is often sought after for projects and maintenance. We are also a great resource for non biplane users, since many GA aircraft are built the same way (fabric and tube construction).

Skytec Starter For Sale

I just replaced the 149-12PM starter on my Eagle with a 149-12LS. This was to relocate the solenoid to the outboard side to keep it from hitting the air inlet in the Eagle cowling. So, now I've got an extra starter that I don't need.

For Sale is a Skytec 149-12PM starter. It has about 40 hours on it since new. It works great. The only issue is that there is some marking on the solenoid where it was coming in contact with the cowling. This is a cosmetic issue only. Below are some pics. New, these are $361 from Aircraft Spruce. I'll take $250, shipping included to anywhere in the continental US.
