The Biplane Forum is a private community. Subscriptions are only $49.99/year or $6.99/month to gain access to this great community and unmatched source of information not found anywhere else on the web. We are also a great resource for non biplane users, since many GA aircraft are built the same way (fabric and tube construction). Annual membership also comes with two BiplaneForum.com decals.

Hello Everybody

I would like to share with you a brand new biplane design, It took over 2 years of planing and designing and almost 5 years of building.
This biplane is scratch build and every single part is made by me. For me was a learning experience, when i start building i didn't know how to weld or work with fabric, but with patience i learn new skills.

This baby is called the Sparrow T3, it has folding wings and uses a Walter Minor 4-III inline inverted engine.
The hardest part was designing the folding wing system, after looking out there at different design i decided to make my own, much sturdier and easier to maintain.

Just received the airworthiness certificate and i look forward to the first flight.
