I've recently inquired after the Skybolt wing kit advertised on Barnstormers this week. I've learned that it is a very nice Steen kit for the Standard wing. As my building space is limited, I investigated (via the Steen Aero site) the differences between the Standard and Delta wing and apparently it is the main spars' material (Delta uses Doug Fir). Can anyone with firsthand experience "confirm or deny" whether the Standard Spruce spars (they are already profiled and spliced) are or are not usable for Delta construction?
Steen FAQ's address the retrofit question by routing out the old spars and sliding new ones in. That would seem to imply that the spars in this kit would be unusable for my purposes (Delta wing).
Still cheaper than moving to a bigger place!
Thanks,
Charlie
