Im looking to make up some flying wire brackets item 144 on materials list sheet 15. They are made from 0.875"x1.25"x0.095" Rect 4130 tubing. This stuff is like rocking horse poop and im not even sure its made in this size at all anymore. First of all has anyone got some lying around that they are willing to part with? Need around 4'. Second has anyone got any good alternatives? Ive seen this has caused issues in the past, and 1"x 0.120" is a possible replacement next to making your own. Having never tried bending 4130 before and googling on tips on how its done, it doesn't appear very easy and often mentioned minimum bend radius of much greater than the thickness of the material otherwise risking cracking. As its for flying wires im not particularly keen on doing this given the importance.
