I'm covering the LH lower wing on my Eagle project. I've got the bottom fabric on, and the initial shrink done on it.

If I'm reading the instructions properly, this is when you install the Flush Inspection Rings on the inside.

So, I marked the locations and did just that.

My question is about the outside. I wasn't able to get the fabric stuck down in the recess of the flush inspection ring, even with an iron. It's too tight. Is there any special trick to doing that? Is it even required? I think it would look a lot better to leave it smooth on the outside, but I don't want plastic rings rattling around in the wing either.
