Is there a convention for how wire clevises are placed?
LH at bottom, at top, bottom on right side, top on left...???
    I searched AC43.13 & the forum & found nothing.
    Thanks

Yes, there is and we discussed it a while back.

On the Pitts the right hand threads are inboard on the tail feathers.

My convention as a right hander in order to remember is to put RH on left and LH on right when facing the front of airplane. Therefore the sides are opposite but I can remember to tighten the same way on either side, both tail and wing wires.

    YMMV
