I'm rebuilding an experimental pitts and thinking about adding a upper tank for cross country flying only on the center section of the upper fuselage. Once I have the tank built my plan as to fill the voids with expandable foam. I'm planning on re in forcing the center wing section with some fiber glass. The million dollar question is. Using a 0.063 Alclad sheet screwed to the wing for future maintenance/inspections?? Would appreciate anyone input on the subject.
