Imtalking with Steve Hillat twisted composites to build a carbon fiber prop just like the ones he does for the 180 hp 360 series of engines. Steve Wolf used it on his wife's Pitts and seems to be really pleased with it. I'm donating the metal Sensenich prop (gets destroyed as part of the mold making process) and just wanted to know the most common pitch the 320 guys are running and would want. I was leaning toward a 74x58. The prop I have is the standard 150 hp Pitts prop and is new and unmolested so we should end up with a great mold. His prop is a duplicate of the Sensenich done in carbon fiber and only weighs around 15 pounds.
So- if we had to start with a standard Pitts 150/160 hp prop what would be the best pitch? 56. . . . .58. . . . .60?
