i bought a 76x62 carbon fiber prop from Steve Hill at twisted
composites and have been flying it the last 4 weeks. The prop is nice
workmanship with perfect balance and tracking.I had a performance
propeller wood prop on it before and compared the weight of the two.
The wood prop weighed 14.75 pounds versus 15.25 for the carbon prop.I
accelerate harder on takeoff with about 500 fpm more than the wood prop
and also accelerate harder on 45 and vertical down lines. My cruise
speed stayed the same at 150 mph at 2600 rpm but top speed increased to
180mph at 3050 rpm straight and level.I fly freestyle airshow type
routines and maintain more energy and altitude with the carbon prop.I'm
very satisfied with it.
