• The Biplane Forum is a large global active community of biplane builders, owners and pilots. From Pitts to Skybolts, to older barnstormers, all types are welcome. In addition to our active community, our content boasts exhaustive technical information which is often sought after for projects and maintenance. This information has accumulated over the 12+ years the forum has been in existence.

The Biplane Forum is a private community. Subscriptions are only $49.99/year or $6.99/month to gain access to this great community and unmatched source of information not found anywhere else on the web. We are also a great resource for non biplane users, since many GA aircraft are built the same way (fabric and tube construction). Annual membership also comes with two BiplaneForum.com decals.

Just an update guys. I met with Devin York and his father Ed this morning, we had a nice visit over breakfast swapping information on the Ultimate Biplane. I was able to lend Devin my upper and lower cowl to make molds from. I was also able to lend him my canopy frame as well. He plans to pull plugs from them in the next month. I was fortunate that my cowl and canopy frame are in excellent condition, so he should be able to make some better quality parts now.

I was also able to give him a digital copy of the 10-200 plans I had made up. Apparently the plans I received with my project are the only fully readable set left.

Question for those of you that are flying the 10-200. Do you think the vents in the side of the cowl improve the cooling very much? We are looking at glassing over the vents in my canopy. Devin figures it may reduce some drag... thoughts?
