This is a strange one.

On the upper wing tank, I have an internal fuel vent line from a bung on the bottom and routed internally to the very top for the vent. At the top, the fuel vent is spot welded to the upper surface of the tank. If I reach in through the filler neck, and give it a twang, it rings like a bell.

I'm a bit worried about fatigue on the aluminum line. It would likely ring like that. I could solve this by putting a dab of silicon caulk on the line to damp out the vibrations. However the silicon is likely not compatible with the fuel.

Anything I could put on the line (inside the tank) that would help damp out the vibrations?
