• The Biplane Forum is a large global active community of biplane builders, owners and pilots. From Pitts to Skybolts, to older barnstormers, all types are welcome. In addition to our active community, our content boasts exhaustive technical information which is often sought after for projects and maintenance. This information has accumulated over the 12+ years the forum has been in existence.

The Biplane Forum is a private community. Subscriptions are only $49.99/year or $6.99/month to gain access to this great community and unmatched source of information not found anywhere else on the web. We are also a great resource for non biplane users, since many GA aircraft are built the same way (fabric and tube construction). Annual membership also comes with two BiplaneForum.com decals.

Several years ago I purchased a box of old airplane magazines and other
ephemera from the estate of a former Boeing aircraft mechanic. Only
recently did I get around to going through it and discovered a set of
plans dated 1939-1951 for a Knight-Twister 85 with personal letters from
Vernon Payne to the purchaser.

There are 15 pages total of which four are 40x40" The other eleven are
8.5x14" and have the name, Vest Pocket Pursuit Biplane #95 and dated
11/27/1945,

several other sheets are titled: KAY-TEE-50 Pursuit scale 1-1.0 11/27/45

There are ten pages of type written letters from Payne with updates and
information to a buyer in Seattle dated 1953 explaining that he no
longer made parts for the KT.

I cannot tell if all the plans are there and I believe the various model names used are all for the same plane.

One of the letters goes on in great detail on each of the blue prints
and even gives pricing. I believe this letter is from the late '40's or
very early 1950's since Payne was then out.

Plans are odor free and are not copies no holes and are in excellent condition.
