• The Biplane Forum is a large global active community of biplane builders, owners and pilots. From Pitts to Skybolts, to older barnstormers, all types are welcome. In addition to our active community, our content boasts exhaustive technical information which is often sought after for projects and maintenance. This information has accumulated over the 12+ years the forum has been in existence.

The Biplane Forum is a private community. Subscriptions are only $49.99/year or $6.99/month to gain access to this great community and unmatched source of information not found anywhere else on the web. We are also a great resource for non biplane users, since many GA aircraft are built the same way (fabric and tube construction). Annual membership also comes with two BiplaneForum.com decals.

I consider ordering a pitts exhaust ,ready to mount, from wag-aero, since its looks okay and is actually cheap and the only one I found online ! wondering if anybody has experience with it ?my one is broken, cracked and done ! its a strange(homemade ) one any way where ether front (or rear ) cylinders are connected, so every cylinder has a different length in piping. the only good about is its easy to mount carbheat. I probably the only guy in Alaska(that's why I rather have carbheat) with a pitts s1-c, o-320, big tires !!! build in 1974, but has newer wings fabric engine etc, in a nice shape. I do not intend to do hard acro, just enjoy a open cockpit biplane, maybe a glacier landing or stuff like that . I am not a welder and a professional build exhaust from Alaska airframes in stainless steel will be more like 1500, probably not worth the investment, since its more of a summer airplane.
