• The Biplane Forum is a large global active community of biplane builders, owners and pilots. From Pitts to Skybolts, to older barnstormers, all types are welcome. In addition to our active community, our content boasts exhaustive technical information which is often sought after for projects and maintenance. This information has accumulated over the 12+ years the forum has been in existence.

The Biplane Forum is a private community. Subscriptions are only $49.99/year or $6.99/month to gain access to this great community and unmatched source of information not found anywhere else on the web. We are also a great resource for non biplane users, since many GA aircraft are built the same way (fabric and tube construction). Annual membership also comes with two BiplaneForum.com decals.

Maybe.

I just picked up what looks like a really nice converted O290G. It was cheap, I wanted it for spare parts for the Spezio mainly cylinders. Anyway, I have had zero luck selling my Acroduster 2 air frame. In retrospect I should have rebuilt it's IO320..... Oh well...... So "IF" this engine looks ok inside after I take it apart my plan is to machine the case for O320 cylinders. I'm also going to make a new longer/correct mount.

Ideally I'd like 4 narrow deck take-off cylinders with pistons that I can install and fly/try. High time run-out fine. Once-IF I confirm engine will be satisfactory I'll have them OH'ed. Of coarse other cylinders will be considered.

I don't want to commit until I confirm internal condition of the engine but OTOH seldom pass up a really good deal.:)

(Of coarse my last really good deal was that pile of scrap metal HIO360)

So what do you have in the corner someplace

Thanks,

Jack
