• The Biplane Forum is a large global active community of biplane builders, owners and pilots. From Pitts to Skybolts, to older barnstormers, all types are welcome. In addition to our active community, our content boasts exhaustive technical information which is often sought after for projects and maintenance. This information has accumulated over the 12+ years the forum has been in existence.

The Biplane Forum is a private community. Subscriptions are only $49.99/year or $6.99/month to gain access to this great community and unmatched source of information not found anywhere else on the web. We are also a great resource for non biplane users, since many GA aircraft are built the same way (fabric and tube construction). Annual membership also comes with two BiplaneForum.com decals.

<div style=": rgb(234, 234, 234); ">My cockpit interior over time has ended up gray with black trim and a green accent, the other night I was trying an old black gauge in the panel to test some clearance issues, when I realized that black gauges now suit the interior better!!!!argghhh!<div style=": rgb(234, 234, 234); ">

<div style=": rgb(234, 234, 234); ">Background: These guages were second hand (fuel pressure and fuel level were bought new from vans). The guages were disassembled, reassembled and bench tested by Georgetown Instruments at T74.<div style=": rgb(234, 234, 234); ">
<div style=": rgb(234, 234, 234); ">You might ask why I just don't recolor them black..well..it took dozens of hours to do them..I couldn't face going through that again....a lotof work..<div style=": rgb(234, 234, 234); ">
<div style=": rgb(234, 234, 234); ">fuel press and fuel level guages may not be suitable for everyone, since the faces have specific markings for my set up, but u could change those faces out.<div style=": rgb(234, 234, 234); ">
<div style=": rgb(234, 234, 234); ">Almost forgot... look at the second panel pic..bottom right, there are 2 square cutouts...they are for oil press and oil temp - I have those done in white, too.<div style=": rgb(234, 234, 234); ">
<div style=": rgb(234, 234, 234); ">I would take $600 + shipping as a package for a quick sale. (As u know, just a g-meter is around $360).<div style=": rgb(234, 234, 234); ">
<div style=": rgb(234, 234, 234); ">If they don't sell, I may send the alti back to the shop for a black face refit.
