• The Biplane Forum is a large global active community of biplane builders, owners and pilots. From Pitts to Skybolts, to older barnstormers, all types are welcome. In addition to our active community, our content boasts exhaustive technical information which is often sought after for projects and maintenance. This information has accumulated over the 12+ years the forum has been in existence.

The Biplane Forum is a private community. Subscriptions are only $49.99/year or $6.99/month to gain access to this great community and unmatched source of information not found anywhere else on the web. We are also a great resource for non biplane users, since many GA aircraft are built the same way (fabric and tube construction). Annual membership also comes with two BiplaneForum.com decals.

Why not a Acroduster?

Hello All,

First of all I'd like to say that I discover an amazing world trough this forum. Thank you for your time!

I'm from Switzerland (french speacking region), and novice as pilote. Have a PPL since 2 years and fly PA28, PA18 and a couple of houres on a Buecker (aerobatic training).

I am seriously consider to build my aircraft, and the Acroduster II match more or less with my expectations. But browsing through the forum I don't could found so much comments about this aircraft type. Maybe I don't look into the right discussion, or something else discourages the builders with this aircraft: plans are to complicated, difficulties during construction, ... or too similar to a Pitts?

If someone could give me some advice, I would very appreciate.

PS: sorry for my english, I hope it's understandable.

Many thanks in advance for your tips or suggestions.

Cheers
Gérard
