One of my first steps will be to get the wing tanks built.

The Charger plans show no wing tank sump for either of the wing tanks. I guess you could just switch to the wing tanks with the fuel selector and drain enough out of the main sump to check for water.

    Any ideas on this?

    Thanks,

    Pat

My wing tanks just have the quick drain near the rear of the tank... no sump.

Ok. So you did put in a quick drain. That was really my question. There's nothing for quick drains on the wing tanks in the plans, unless I'm really missing something.

And with me that's always possible.

For what it's worth, my Luscombe does not have drains in the wing tanks.
