I pulled the trigger on a metric crapload of 1/4" capstrip and some half- and quarter-sheets of plywood last night. Who knows when it will ship or arrive, but it feels good to have the first "real" airplane parts on the way. Stapler and staples have arrived, as has the T-88. Now I just have to finish the garage and move in some tools so I can build a Chapter 1000 table, make a jig, and start turning out ribs!
I elected not to order spars yet, since I want to take a shot at checking out the local lumber yards and grading Spruce myself before splurging on truck shipping from Illinois. I'll probably end up just ordering the right thing from Wicks, but I have to at least try looking locally first. I'll also need to order leading edge ply, so might as well combine those orders when the time comes.
