• The Biplane Forum is a large global active community of biplane builders, owners and pilots. From Pitts to Skybolts, to older barnstormers, all types are welcome. In addition to our active community, our content boasts exhaustive technical information which is often sought after for projects and maintenance. This information has accumulated over the 12+ years the forum has been in existence.

The Biplane Forum is a private community. Subscriptions are only $49.99/year or $6.99/month to gain access to this great community and unmatched source of information not found anywhere else on the web. We are also a great resource for non biplane users, since many GA aircraft are built the same way (fabric and tube construction). Annual membership also comes with two BiplaneForum.com decals.

I pulled the trigger on a metric crapload of 1/4" capstrip and some half- and quarter-sheets of plywood last night. Who knows when it will ship or arrive, but it feels good to have the first "real" airplane parts on the way. Stapler and staples have arrived, as has the T-88. Now I just have to finish the garage and move in some tools so I can build a Chapter 1000 table, make a jig, and start turning out ribs!

I elected not to order spars yet, since I want to take a shot at checking out the local lumber yards and grading Spruce myself before splurging on truck shipping from Illinois. I'll probably end up just ordering the right thing from Wicks, but I have to at least try looking locally first. I'll also need to order leading edge ply, so might as well combine those orders when the time comes. ;)
