I need to make a 44" diameter cowl ring. The largest that I've found (Danny S pointed me to the site) is 42".

I read an article about metal forming the ring out of aluminum. The article, by Budd Davisson, explains how Jim Younkin produces a cowl ring pretty much by figuring out obtuse angles and then banging with a hammer, and English Wheel rolling the ring. If that's what I need to do... I guess I'll be doing that.

Anyone else out there with other suggestions?
Carbon Fiber or Fiberglass... would need on helluva mold.
