Has anyone here ever estimated the weight savings by useing the double cover method ? I understand that less fill product is used due to the weave and a nice finish can be attained easier due to the weave but I have not seen even a calculated guess on weight difference . I would think that the savings in filler material might be gobbled up by the two layers of fabric (weight and cost) . I'm also contemplating both layers of fabric of the same lighter weave . Smith Mini with a Cont 0-200 . Thoughts . I scraped two layers of paint with a primer layer between off of my wheel pants , swept the paint coat up and put it in a quart baggie . Almost full and unbelievable the weight . Thanx
