Firebolt to Grove Landing Gear conversion (Harris Shackles)

Hi everyone.

I am well versed on the problems of the Firebolt landing gear and don't want to start yet another thread on the issues with that gear.

My question is; Has anyone else attached the grove gear to your Firebolt the way Randy Harris did. He designed special shackles that allowed the use of the existing attach points in lieu of welding more steel to the fuselage per the grove plans.

Here are pictures of the shackles.
