I have probably answered my own question but would like your input. I didn’t like the look of one of my I struts under paint. so I sandblasted them. now I really don’t like it. To my eye it looks like it has been bent and pulled back into shape. The lower wing had minimal damage from the crash just a broken tip bow, so I don’t think it is related to that. Finally the welds to my non-welders eye look like they have poor penetration.
