I wonder if anyone has come across this before?
I built scaffolding to support the top wing.
Made sure that all is level and correct incidence throughout the span, to match that of the center/butt ribs.

The flying wires, the two that terminate at the left and right rear spar were too long.
I turned the forks all the way on the threads, installed the wires with the pins and there was still slop in the wire.

I figured the best thing to do was remove a little thread of both right and left ends. A total of 1 5/8" was removed, keeping an equal balance of thread on both ends.
I screwed the forks on until I showed that I passed the witness holes.
I installed the wires after shortening and all seems to be good.

The wires are Bruntons.

I may need to trim a little off the length of all by the looks of it? but I don't know for sure 'till I manufacture the I strut maybe.

I am wondering if anyone else has had to trim the length of their wires?
