Thought I'd like to start a thread of Smith Miniplane photos . I've been totally intrigued by going back completely through the Pitts photo thread . Amazing the number that were built and the thread shows no where near the entirety of those built . Tons of information on the history of ownership and registration # tracing along with updates on where some are located and where they have been . So many have vanished and no doubt a large number are still out there in dark corners quietly waiting to be the next find . Days can be spent reading through that thread . The input from members with memories dating back almost makes those days come alive again . I can't help but thinking that one thread is the longest running and most responded to thread on the Forum . Anyway if interest allows , I'd like to post pictures that I have gathered over the years with hope to fatten the BiPlane encyclopedia for anyone with a hankorin for rag and tube education . Whatta you think ?
