I just purchased a used MIG welder that can use fluxed core or shielding gas for welding. I'm wondering if this can be used on my Skybolt build for any parts. Can I achieve enough control with it? Not having welded before I don't have a good feel for what's possible. I'll be taking a welding class at the local high school this fall to start getting my feet wet.

I got a great deal on the welder so I don't think it would have been much money wasted.

The welder is a Power Mig Astro Power 130. See attached picture.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Russ
