Hi Guys,

I sure could use some input on the construction of this fuselage. I made a jig fixture, bent the lower longerons appropriately and tacked all the verticle tubes that make up each station into position. This is where I am confused. The prints seem to suggest that while each side is in the fixture, I should go ahead and tack the diagonal braces into position. However, I think it is on page 31 in the "Techniques of Aircraft Building" that states that those diagonal braces should not be welded into position until after both sides are tied together by the horizontal tubes that complete each station.

Which is correct? Should I go ahead and do the diagonals while the sides are flat in the jig or should I wait until after we have it all together?

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
