As an attempt to drum up more interest in sport aircraft and aerobatics the 2015-2016 AIAA undergraduate aircraft design competition is a single and two seat aerobatic LSA airplane family.
This is mainly an educational exercise for senior-level aircraft design classes at universities and the RFP is meant to be a bit of a challenge. I wrote it so you'll know who to blame if anything looks too far off

I'd encourage folks to volunteer to help mentor your local university design teams if the opportunity arises.
