• The Biplane Forum is a large global active community of biplane builders, owners and pilots. From Pitts to Skybolts, to older barnstormers, all types are welcome. In addition to our active community, our content boasts exhaustive technical information which is often sought after for projects and maintenance. This information has accumulated over the 12+ years the forum has been in existence.

The Biplane Forum is a private community. Subscriptions are only $49.99/year or $6.99/month to gain access to this great community and unmatched source of information not found anywhere else on the web. We are also a great resource for non biplane users, since many GA aircraft are built the same way (fabric and tube construction). Annual membership also comes with two BiplaneForum.com decals.

Does anyone know the actual station location or inches in front of the lower wing for the forward CG limit on the Acrosport 1?

If I have this I can put the datum out in front and can also derive the envelope positions in inches. I see were people say the envelope is from 60 to 66 inches but then I also see were people have different main wheel location in inches that vary up to eight inches. With an envelope of only six inches how do I know that the 52 location of my main wheels on the old W/B form corresponds correctly with the 60-66 inch cg envelope?

The location of the CG envelope as it relates to the location on the aircraft should never change no matter what the numbers being used.

I want to reweigh the aircraft but I don't want to use their numbers unless I know the numbers of their envelope are correct.

Thanks in advance..

Jim
