• The Biplane Forum is a large global active community of biplane builders, owners and pilots. From Pitts to Skybolts, to older barnstormers, all types are welcome. In addition to our active community, our content boasts exhaustive technical information which is often sought after for projects and maintenance. This information has accumulated over the 12+ years the forum has been in existence.

The Biplane Forum is a private community. Subscriptions are only $49.99/year or $6.99/month to gain access to this great community and unmatched source of information not found anywhere else on the web. We are also a great resource for non biplane users, since many GA aircraft are built the same way (fabric and tube construction).

We haven't had time for many pics lately but here is one of our latest endeavors. We jigged up the spars level on the table using a simple l-shaped support.

For the trailing edge we made some t-shaped supports to get the bow to plane in with the centerline of the wing.

Here are the nose ribs-

And the wing section as it stands now is below. One of the buckets is behind in painting due to a run in the paint. It will be a few weeks before another paint session. We still need to drill vent holes in all four of the skinned center ribs and create a path for the fuel tank sender wires. We also have alot of clearcoating to do. Once we have the last hardware piece painted, we will final assemble what we have and install the bottom plywood skin.
