• The Biplane Forum is a large global active community of biplane builders, owners and pilots. From Pitts to Skybolts, to older barnstormers, all types are welcome. In addition to our active community, our content boasts exhaustive technical information which is often sought after for projects and maintenance. This information has accumulated over the 12+ years the forum has been in existence.

The Biplane Forum is a private community. Subscriptions are only $49.99/year or $6.99/month to gain access to this great community and unmatched source of information not found anywhere else on the web. We are also a great resource for non biplane users, since many GA aircraft are built the same way (fabric and tube construction). Annual membership also comes with two BiplaneForum.com decals.

We finished removing the last parts from the fuselage today. Not difficult, just a lot of busy work and trying to keep the parts organized as they get pulled off the plane.

Now I can get on with the new work and clean-up. I haven't found any serious problems. Some minor rust, but nothing is bent, cracked or broken.

My daughter was with us today helping out Dad and Pops. She's a big fan of the Pitts and all things with wings, but this was the first time she asked to climb in and sit. The offer has been made many times, but today she decided it was a good idea. The rubber mallet was her tool of choice today. I think she smacked almost everything in the hangar at least once. Happy as a clam playing on the dusty floor while Pops and I turned wrenches. Had to hose her off a bit before bringing her back home to my wife.
