A note to mention that Eddie Ruhl has regrettably put his Eagle up for sale on Barnstormers. Eddie is a long time IAC competitor and no longer has a medical certificate. Nice airplane and well taken care of looking for a good home.

Best of luck,

Wes

Say it isn't so Eddie! You held my hand (ahem, figuratively) across the clouds from Vermont to NJ and gave me huge pointers on formation flying along the way. The Eagle is beautiful inside and out.

Just another reminder to send in your support for the General Aviation Pilots Protection Act 2! I always hate to hear someone had to give up flying because of a piece of paper when they are still safe to fly. (I don't know Eddies situation but have seen to many good pilots stop flying just because of some medical issue that wouldn't effect the safety of flight). Good luck in the sale, maybe he can come back to flying later.

I regret that my understanding is that Ed's health issue is a real disqualifier, not just a paperwork issue. Bud Davisson wrote a column not long ago on the topic of you never know when too late comes. We should all go fly out to the limits of our fun meters now because there inevitably will be a day when the music stops.

Hope that Ed's airplane goes to a good home and we see it again diving into the competition performance zone.

Best of luck,

Wes

Beautiful plane...I would buy it, but, unfortunately, I'm at least 2 financial years away from owning another airplane....
