    • In addition to our active community, our content boasts exhaustive technical information which is often sought after for projects and maintenance. This information has accumulated over the 12+ years the forum has been in existence.
    • We are also a great resource for non biplane users, since many GA aircraft are built the same way (fabric and tube construction).

I'm probably an eternity away from actually bolting on an engine, but it never hurts to start shopping early, right? Does anybody know where to look for Lycoming IO-360s or IO-540s, besides dealers who sell new engines? Is it possible to find reliable engines with some time on them? I'm not necessarily looking for the absolute top of the line. I'd like to get in the air, be safe, and have some fun. If I have to save up $20,000-$30,000 it's going to take a lot longer to make that happen.
Any thoughts?
Thanks
