    • In addition to our active community, our content boasts exhaustive technical information which is often sought after for projects and maintenance. This information has accumulated over the 12+ years the forum has been in existence.
    • We are also a great resource for non biplane users, since many GA aircraft are built the same way (fabric and tube construction).
    • Annual membership also comes with two BiplaneForum.com decals.

Thanks for the great forum!

I'm beginning the process to restore and re-cover my Skybolt.
My dad started building it in the early 1970s, then set it aside to build a Sonerai II and a Q2, then resumed work to complete it in 1987.

Some technical info:

Engine: IO-360 A1A
Prop: 2-Bladed Hartzell
3-Piece top wing with Starduster cabanes and brace wire layout.
Modified Ailerons (very light stick forces without spades).
Servo/Trim on elevator and rudder.
Rear canopy.
