Last night I had the pleasure of a visit to my hangarby Don Fairbanks, builder and pilot of the Knight Twister Imperial that raced during the 1970's, and is now on permanent display in the EAA museum. Don was in town for a reunion with his WWII unit, the Carpetbaggers (he was a tailgunner in B-24's), and was being escorted by GoldenAge, aka David, our local Knight Twister expert (cm'on David, you know more about Twisters than anyone else around here!). We visited for over two hours talking about Knight Twisters, biplane racing, memories of Reno and Cleveland, and Don's WWII experiences. He says if anyone has any questions, IT'S IN THE BOOK! This was a rare a special occasion for me. Thanks Don and David.
