I'm trying to locate the ideal place for the rudder pedals. My skybolt has the rear pit back placed at 88", rather than 85" per the plans. This is in accordance with the Biplane forum builder's manual hints.
Questions:
- Likely will be using a seat back chute. What is the thickness I should plan to mock up when fitting?
- Plans show the nominal rudder pedal angle as vertical when rudder centered; correct?
- What angle nominally should I have on my knees?
- Do you want your knees fully extended at the rudder stop?
- For the brake pedals, what is the best tilt? (Forward, vertical, backwards?)
I've done a bunch of triangle geometry on my leg measurements and skybolt particulars, but what is the empirical way to locate the rudder pedals?
