I hear alot of talk about flexibility with the different covering systems. Is flexibility really a good thing? Remember the fabric is a part of the aircraft structure on most fabric covered airplanes. The fabricprovides mostof the torsional rigidity of your wings. The more flexible the system the more your wing will twist. If you don't believeme grab the wing tip of Cub, Champ and gently twist it.Try this with airplanes covered with the different systems and you will see what I mean. Flutter is real and with the high speeds of some aerobatic ships we need all the rigidity we can get. I myself will stick with the tried and true rigidity of Butyrate.
