I know I have touched on this a little here in other threads, but I'm about to order my flying and landing wires (tie rods) and I need to verify what diameter wire I need for my Baby Great Lakes. For some reason my plans don't say what size wire to use, maybe I'm missing a page or something in my plans, and Aircraft spruce (rights owner) does not seem to know anything. I've talked to custom aircraft builders and some say 10-32 is too small not stronge enough and to use 1/4-28. Others say twelve 1/4-28 wires are too heavy. Anyway now people have me worried that I will order a VARY expesive and non returnable wire size! I've built my little plane with the idea that I would be needing 10-32 wires and the extra exspense of 1/4-28 makes me ill.
I see that other people here have 10-32 wires on their BGLs, is this the true original size from the plans?
Thanks
