    SKYOTE PROJECT • $27,000 • FOR SALE • Plans #67, wing panels complete but w/ plywood ribs, complete set of alum rib from P Bartoe, from J Roberts complete set of wing fittings pre-bent & matched hole tooling spars all welding on fuselage. Beautiful, Cleveland, wheels, brakes, master cylinders, tires and tubes all new. Near new Lang tw and new tw spring, Complete set of stainless wires and terminal ends for entire aircraft.     I’m not sure what the engine is worth, but, $27k for a lot of parts and pieces... I would think that it is.

    Not sure what a wood rib one would be worth vs an aluminum rib one in kit firm, but that price is probably break even if it's mostly the fast build parts kit. One of those planes you have to want more than an alternative.

    There have been Skyote's built with Lycoming power but that isn't near as good an engine for the design as a C-85 or C-90. I remember when my brother bought all the flying and landing wires for his Skyote. The price would give you a heart murmur and that was in the 90's when McWhyte was still in the streamline tie rod business.
