I was going to epoxy prime my engine mount, but the guy quoting me for media blasting said he'd blast and powder coat it for $100. I thought, wow, OK. Then as an afterthought, I asked if the powder he used was resistant to MEK...he said 'not fully', meaning, if MEK is applied, the coating 'dulls a little'.
Is this normal? Or are there powders available that are MEK bullet proof?
