• The Biplane Forum is a large global active community of biplane builders, owners and pilots. From Pitts to Skybolts, to older barnstormers, all types are welcome. In addition to our active community, our content boasts exhaustive technical information which is often sought after for projects and maintenance. This information has accumulated over the 12+ years the forum has been in existence.

The Biplane Forum is a private community. Subscriptions are only $49.99/year or $6.99/month to gain access to this great community and unmatched source of information not found anywhere else on the web. We are also a great resource for non biplane users, since many GA aircraft are built the same way (fabric and tube construction). Annual membership also comes with two BiplaneForum.com decals.

I just got a bunch of parts in that will let me get rolling on the Pitts project. Now that the weather is warming up, I can start mixing glue again.

The biggest arrival was the box of Wolf gear parts from Tony. Very nicely done. I'll have a chance tomorrow to do some trial fitting and start thinking about the new sheet metal for the belly. I'll get all the stock gear fittings cut off and see what I'm up against. I'll have to remake at least one steel former on the bottom to accommodate the exhaust tunnel. Not sure yet what else will have to be adjusted.

Also got the bearings for the wings, a PC680 battery, steel for the new rudder and plywood for the extra full size ribs I need.

I already have the aileron kit from Raven and have been working on the bottom wings to get that going.

That should keep me busy for a while. Kind of like a late Christmas!

Ian
