Hey all,
I've owned numerous EAB planes, but I'm new to biplanes. Interested in purchasing an EAB biplane ... probably Skybolt, Acrosport Too, Acroduster Too, Starduster II.
For those that have experience with more than one of these models, and can compare them, I'd be interested in hearing pros/cons, and suggestions.
Objectives:
- Less than $50k
- Occasional scenic flights, pancake breakfasts
- Occasional grass strip use
- Usually would have a passenger along to share the fun
- Would initially continue with gentlemen aerobatics (as learned in RV8)
- Hope to get some instruction/familiarity with more competitive aerobatics
- Before long begin entry-level IAC competitions
- (decent cruise speed would help for traveling to said competitions)
- prefer configuration allowing negative-G maneuvers
Thanks!
(My backround ... 500 hrs tailwheel, mostly RV8; 1000 hrs total time; some aerobatic experience)
