I would like to start off by saying....Great Forum!! Lots of info!
My name is Mark Gregg, from Colorado Springs, CO., 3/4 mile from KCOS (Colorado Springs municipal). Just joined biplaneforum 5 minutes ago. Yesterday I ordered plans for the Skybolt from Steen...very excited about starting a new project! So, I figured I should join this forum. I'm sure I won't be disappointed.
A little bio: I am 38 years old, have always enjoyed building things. My hobbies include model rocketry, model cars, r/c airplanes, N scale trains. I am a mechanic by trade, specializing in European cars. I am married with 6 children...all of whom are excited about my upcoming project!
I don't have my license but am working towards my PPL. Not many hours yet but excited all the same! My time is in a C172. Maybe I can get some taildragger experience in during my flight training and be properly trained by the time my Skybolt is done!
Thanks in advance for anything of wisdom you all have to offer and for the wealth of info already posted,
Mark
