I've been working on getting my AEIO-540 built up. As a tangent project, I am getting the the proper oil-cooler.

My understanding is that the Pitts S2Bs use a Stewart Warner 10611R. (anyone confirm this?)

Here is the size and performance data on the 10611R.

The 10611R is a single pass oil cooler.

Digging through the boxes of oil coolers at the salvage yard, I came across multiple Stewart Warner 10557As off Turbo Senecas. They are a dual pass oil cooler (slightly more efficient, but higher pressure drop) and the equivalent size to the 10611R. The performance curves are not in the above document, but should cool at least as good as the 10611R. This looks like this should work great.

I talked to Pacific Oil Cooler and they confirmed they are the same size, but a dual pass unit. Sending this out this afternoon for checkout.

Wentworth has about five other 10557As and scads of other oil coolers, SW and other brands.
