I am in the process of designing the oil tank for the Bristol Bulldog. It is relatively flat and horizontal. The engine is an early Wasp (1340) with greaser heads. It seems that Bristol did not use any device for de-aerating the oil. (Jupiter VII engine)
There is virtually no information on the web covering this question (problem?)
There are plenty of pictures of oil tanks, from the outside. Nothing showing the inside! The race car guys are the closest I have come, but they are vertical systems and use tangential flow against the wall to de-aeriate. Does not quite fit my situation.
Am I making a mountain out of a molehill?
